Whitney — a proprietary humanist sans-serif designed by Tobias Frere-Jones for Hoefler & Co. (now Hoefler&Co. / Monotype). Originally commissioned in 2004 for the Whitney Museum of American Art, Whitney is licensed to Discord, Inc. and serves as Discord's primary display and UI face across the Discord client, marketing site, and brand materials. A compact-but-warm humanist sans tuned for both signage and dense screen UI.
