Chirp

Chirp — the proprietary corporate typeface of X Corp (formerly Twitter, Inc.), introduced in 2021 by Twitter and retained through the 2023 X rebrand as the primary display and UI face. Chirp is a proprietary humanist sans-serif designed in collaboration with Grilli Type, tuned for the small-size legibility of timeline copy while reading with personality at marketing display sizes.

Chirp is a proprietary typeface licensed to X Corp (formerly Twitter, Inc.) and was designed in collaboration with Grilli Type. Use is restricted to X's own marketing and to partners under X's brand-use guidelines. brand-atoms documents the face for reference only — no binaries are mirrored or redistributed by this catalog.

Notes
Chirp is not publicly distributed. Public web rendering by non-X consumers must fall back to a comparable humanist sans. The recommended public-web fallback is Inter (already in the brand-atoms catalog) — a similarly humanist sans that approximates the rhythm of Chirp at UI sizes when the proprietary file is unavailable.
